Copper Surahi
The surahi, with its rounded body and slender neck, has long been used to keep drinking water in Indian homes, in clay as well as metal. A copper surahi brings that graceful silhouette to the bedside table, the dining table or the pooja room, where many families like to keep a vessel of water within reach. It is also an elegant gift for weddings and housewarmings.
Five finishes are available: Plain, Hammered, Antique coated, Colour and Nickel plated. The plain and hammered versions show off natural copper, while the coloured, antique and nickel finishes lean decorative and suit a showcase or a gift. Whichever you choose, keep it for plain water. Care & use
- Fill with plain water only; sour drinks such as lemon water or juice react with copper.
- Use a long bottle brush with lemon and salt to clean inside the narrow neck.
- Leave it upside down to drain after washing so no water stays trapped in the base.

How do I clean inside the narrow neck of a copper surahi?
Use a long, soft bottle brush with lemon juice and salt, or tamarind pulp diluted in water. Swirl, scrub gently, rinse thoroughly and leave the surahi upside down to drain and dry completely before refilling.
Which copper surahi finish is best for gifting?
It depends on the recipient's taste. Plain and Hammered give the classic copper look that suits traditional homes, while Colour, Antique coated and Nickel plated finishes are more decorative and stand out in a showcase. You can compare all five at our showroom.
